Review of the Semi-Remote Day Trip Packing List

I have reviewed the SRDT packing list and find that it is quite thorough and mostly complete.

Currently the only aetheric turbulence detector I have access to is aboard my amoured landship.  While we will have it available for use, we will have to be inside the landship to utilize it.  I'm not sure how much help that will be.  If someone has a portable device, that might be better.

Things that I can contribute from the list(so that we don't have to purchase anything in addition):

  • ash can
  • folding table (card table - square)
  • camp chairs (4, I think, maybe 1 or 2 more, not sure - maybe everone should bring their own)
  • ice chest
  • extra 3 gallons of water (in case of fire, small explosions or nuclear meltdown)

I question the necessity for ice (though some of us do insist on ice cold drinks at all times and it would probably be good for transporting uncooked meat items).  The temp for our expedition is going to be in the 50's.  While that can be quite warm (if it isn't windy and who knows what this storm might leave behind), maybe some nice hot drinks would be in order as well?  I'm thinking cocoa or cider myself.  I will plan accordingly.

Rick has most of the items from the first list as well as a folding table. How many people are going to be coming? We may be able to make use of two tables.

Julie already owns an ash can so we can use hers.
Rick has charcoal tongs.

Julie also has a three gallon water container to refill water bottles/camelbaks, etc.

I have a reasonably good camera and a tripod, which we can use for both still and motion picture recording, with audio for motion pictures. This may be good for documenting adventures.

I can also investigate the possibility of acquiring digitized maps of the local area.

Cory and Julie can go to Sam's Club to acquire snack food that is hardy and long-lasting.
